OUR ARTISTS

Giving Artists access to a shop window via the Physical and E-stores

As Kathaka RAW Ent., through our subsidiary, VicBay Beach Shop (www.vicbay.shop), we strive to give local artists, craftsmen and small manufacturers an opportunity and platform through which they can display, exhibit and sell their wares through our beach shop situated at Victoria Bay, George, and via our website, www.vicbay.shop.

What drives our vision is the apparent lack of access to markets, technology and space for especially local/rural/township artists to ever have their creative art pieces exhibited, discovered or be seen by a world broader than their immediate surroundings from where they create or work.

We believe that by being supported by and collaborating with credible, organised, representative bodies, our vision can be achieved for the benefit of these artists and the families they have to support financially through the meager earnings of their art.

Jerome Kasayi – A Plettenburg Bay based artist, who crafts with wood, wire, egg-shells and also support canvass drawing-artists from the area. We stock an array of his products.

Ardú Creations – a small business that specializes in creating unique handmade products using fynbos flowers. It is owned and operated by a mother and daughter team who specialize in creating unique, limited edition handmade resin products, using fynbos flowers in most of their designs. This South African-based small business has captured the essence of the beautiful and diverse fynbos vegetation, found in the Western Cape of South Africa. Incorporating these flowers into their designs make them truly stand out and appeal to customers who are looking for something different and authentically South-African!

Thando Visual Art – Thando Juta sculptures different caricatures of famous, iconic people such as Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Elvis Pressley, Queen Elizabeth and many more; plus an array of animals and objects. He uses a wide variety of forms to create art with ceramics, making bowls, sculptures, paintings, paper mâché and wiring.

We plan to afford as many artists as possible, who are struggling to get visibility and attention, regular and consistent access to this platform through www.vicbay.shop. For this reason, we need all the support we can get from like-mined benefactors.
